OOTD: June 23, 2014

Monday, June 23, 2014
Today I went to the beach with my friends. This was my first time going to the beach this summer. We had so much fun playing various games for hours. I'm pretty positive that I got a serious tan being out there today. The water was so cool, and was perfect remedy for the blazing weather we're having in California this week.

I think the beach is a perfect place to wear a white tee and denim shorts. I made these shorts a couple of summers ago and they still are super cute to me, I got many compliments on them today too.

Enjoy!

Beach Essentials | 2014

These are my 2014 beach essentials:

Enjoy!

I got this "Wet Bikini" bag from target a couple of years ago, and it's amazing it works well. So before I go to the beach I use it to put my beauty products in. Such as, deodorant, hand sanitizer, lip gloss & balm, sunscreen, and hair accessories. Also, I put my dry underwear in to to keep them from getting sand on them.

Denim shorts are ESSENTIAL for the beach, and these are a really cute pair I bleached myself.

Okay, I actually like wearing Converse to the beach, but I don't think its an essential just something I personally like to wear with denim shorts. Plus I don't own a pair of flip-flops so I wore my faithful sneakers.

Headphones are super crucial for beach days! I love sitting on the beach and listening to my latest favorite playlist or on Pandora.

Also, I recommend bringing a book or something to-do when you just want to relax at the beach and listen to music.

Obliviously towels are essentials, I bring two with me. One to use as a blanket and the other to dry off with. Finally sunglasses are important too, you cannot forget them at home!

This is my outfit from Father's Day, I kept it simple with a denim dress from this boutique in San Francisco named Witches and Potions. They have a lot of great items, so if your in the Bay Area I highly recommend their store. I was going to be doing a lot of walking so I wore these shoes I got on sale from from Asos back in April. There super comfortable and easy to walk in. It was a great purchase! Also, my Alexander Wang dupe-bag is from the market in Berkeley I got in April too, it's my go-to travel bag, it hold so much of my stuff! I love it to pieces.

Enjoy!

Today I went to Emeryville to run some errands and stopped by P.F Chang's for lunch, I hadn't had it in a while, and it was delicious as usual. I ordered the Honey Crisp Shrimp and Chow Mein. Also, I went through Berkeley (again, lol) and I had to go to C.R.E.A.M, by now you can tell I love that restaurant. Almost everyone in the Bay Area knows about it, and loves it, although some people say its overrated. But who can turn down $2 ice cream sandwiches?! Defiantly not ME!

Today I decided to keep it very simple, with a mint romper. Personally i adore rompers there so easy and breezy especially for the summer. I think there a Summer Essential! Only problem I have with them is the bathroom situation... haha

Enjoy!

Father's Day in San Jose

Monday, June 16, 2014

So today was Father's Day I had an amazing time with my family. We went to San Jose to eat at Famous Dave's BBQ, which I haven't had since before I moved from Chicago, so i was excited. But on our way I saw a Tapioca Express and I had to stop and get my favorite drink pineapple and strawberry "Snowbubble" with large Pearls, it's super sweet and delicious! They have a huge selection of flavors, I don't think you can really end up with a nasty "Snowbubble", but that's my personal favorite combination.

After eating dinner we went to the Great Mall to shop and go to Dave and Busters (Another Dave?). I, also, hadn't been there in a super long time so I was very excited. And I was super happy when I went to the "Winner's Circle" and got my USC #1 stuffed finger! Everyone who knows me, knows that its my dream school, so that explains why I was super happy.

Overall, today was a great day with the fam-bam (lol). And Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!

Enjoy!

First Post! OOTD: Trip to Berkeley

This is my very blogging post and i'm so excited! Today I went to visit the University of California, Berkeley. I live fairly close to the university and i'm always visiting Telegraph Ave. Mainly because of C.R.E.A.M (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) and Blondie's a pizza restaurant. They're two of my favorite places to eat in Nor-Cal. I highly recommend them to everyone visiting and/or living in the Bay Area.

Today I wore a denim button-up from H&M, my leather skirt is from Forever 21, and my shoes are Nike Flyknit in Fuchsia and Volt Green. Also, my bag is an Alexander Wang dupe I got at a market in San Francisco. I love it, its a great travel/everyday bag. It can hold so much of my stuff! It's amazing I wish it had came in more colors.

Enjoy!
